The Montana Historic Society Museum showcases artifacts and displays the explore the history, and culture of the Montana region. The permanent collection at the museum contains more than 50,000 artifacts, including ceremonial costumes worn Odd Fellows at the turn of the century, and a wheel from an early 20th-century steamboat. The museum is located east of the city center, near the Capital Hill Mall.
